DataScience: Elevate - Spotlight: Women in Technology is the first in a series of meet ups designed to elevate women in technology through sharing expertise and building powerful industry connections.

The panel will share best practices for building big data pipelines, using machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve business problems, and scaling the work of data science teams.

Andrea is a Lead Data Scientist at DataScience.com, where she leads the cross-functional customer success data science team.
  Her team works with customers to design solutions for business needs across a range of verticals, produces educational content, and contributes to internal data science strategic efforts.  Her background is in healthcare, speech recognition, and machine learning systems for understanding human perception.  She received her PhD in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Sarah Arnett

Sarah Arnett leads Hawthorne Directs efforts to enhance, build and develop data products and analytics services. In previous roles, Sarah as the VP of Data Science and Analytics, as well as acting CIO at Network of One(NO1), a YouTube Digital Affiliate.  There she had the responsibility for data product platforms, advanced/predictive analytics, visualization, and ROI decision support analysis/forecasting. Sarah holds an MBA from the University of Missouri and undergraduate degrees in finance and statistics from Baker University.

Lauren Moores is a digital data geek who transforms and optimizes the use of dirty, disparate data into products, insightful analytics and relevant stories.  Lauren has over 25 years in data and technology strategy, science and data creation including a PhD in Economics from Brown University.   


Currently Lauren runs data analytics at Tala, a global fintech startup that transforms mobile behavioral and transactional data. Prior to Tala, Lauren served as VP, Strategy for Dstillery, a cross-device digital intelligence platform, and Chief Science Officer for EveryScreen Media, a mobile RTB and audience technology company acquired by Dstillery.

Aarthi Sridharan is the Director of Data (Enterprise Technology) at Beachbody LLC,  a health and fitness company in Santa Monica. Aarthi's leadership drives the organization's abilities to make data driven decisions for accelerated growth and operational excellence. Aarthi and her team are responsible for ingesting and transforming large volumes of data into traditional enterprise data warehouse and into the data lake and building analytics on top it.  In addition to managing data engineering, she closely works with data scientists to predict customer behavior and retention.
